ANNOUNCEMENTS Well I think that went pretty well, the score with an hour to go was within 500 points and I know for a fact that this means it was won by snipes. However it is pretty obvious that we need 4 good crews going into tourney and probably need to spread the power around a bit more evenly. I will not be leading a tourney crew this month and will just hang around and see if anyone wants me. If no one does then I will sit it out and watch. I still think that because of the lack of regular players the folks who won the previous month should be able to play again, but must disperse throughout the other crews. PC – HP Proliant ML310 G3 OS – MS Server 2003 for Small Business Server (it was the OS that was on the PC when I got it) Processor – x86 Family 15 Model 4 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~3200 Mhz (dual core) Ram - 4 gig Video card – NVIDIA GeForce FX2500 256 meg (the motherboard only has PCI slots, that’s the best PCI video card I could find) Browser – IE8 (as of the 8th of May, 2009), Flash player 10 I do not use any slow down programs and when I shoot I have an IE window open with AX and the TF window, sometimes I might have the AB window open. I have no other IE tabs open and run no other apps. It takes me approx. 40 seconds to shoot a round with the SS. If you feel this gives me an unfair advantage, tough. I use the resources I have available to me and this PC is more than adequate for everything I want to do with it. This is no different than someone getting an advantage over the rest of the field by being a paying member or just plain buying UPs. We just use the resources available to us. I did a speed test on TF without firing a shot. As near as I can tell it takes the timer 1 minute to run down, this seemed to fluctuate by a second or 2 either way. Fearganor did the same on his PC at the same time and was getting times of around 35 seconds. I have never given anyone a hard time about spending money on this game. In fact I have generally congratulated them on playing their part in keeping the game going. I have been shooting almost every day since August 2006. It has taken me this long to get to the level I am at now, and my shooting continues to improve. So as I have always maintained, if you want to get good at TF, practice.
